The Kolkata-based bank said in a statement that its total business grew 11.46 per cent to Rs 4,61,408 crore in the quarter under review, while gross advances rose 17.64 per cent to Rs 1,93,253 crore.
Total deposits grew 7.39 per cent year-on-year to Rs 2,68,155 crore in the quarter ended June.
Advances to retail, agriculture and MSME (RAM) sectors grew by 18.65 per cent to Rs 1,01,986 crore.
The bank managed to reduce its gross NPA by 116 basis points to 3.32 per cent in April-June, while net NPA declined by 40 basis points to 0.78 per cent.
The capital adequacy ratio stood at 17.09 per cent at the end of the first quarter, while the tier-I ratio stood at 14.75 per cent, the statement said.
